WHAT I LOVE ABOUT COUPLES
I've known Jordon since elementary school, so needless to say, she's been my dear friend for quite a while now! It was so cool to watch her and her fiance open up in front of the camera. One of the things I love about sessions is that I'm able to get to know people in a new way. It's not always appropriate or encouraged to snuggle up with your honey or stare deeply into their eyes in public (and most of us don't do that enough at home, either) but during a session, those normal inhibitions can fall away and the sweetness of your relationship can be freely celebrated. I love that couples have each other to lean on during their session, which helps those inevitable nerves disappear really quickly.
EMBRACING THE HAPPY ACCIDENTS
Jordon and Guy's session was perfect. For their shoot, Sean and I drove to Fredericksburg where they live. This beautiful, historic, German town was the absolute perfect place for the two of them! We explored the day of the shoot looking for the perfect place, which turned out to be super fun, but a little challenging because, well, everywhere we went was SERIOUSLY perfect! From the small historic chapels to the lush vineyards and fields of oak trees, the options were endless! When we actually went out for their session, we had an idea of where we would go. We headed towards a public pavilion bordered by Spanish-style casitas. Well, Google Maps had another idea. It took down the bumpiest dirt road to an abandoned Spanish church with a nearby dock overlooking a pond. It was incredible. Of course, it wasn't until we were leaving that we realized we had gone to the wrong place. Happy accident.
We finished up our session at Enchanted Rock. It was warm, sunny, and Jordon's soft, floor-length dress amidst the giant pink granite rocks had me all π π π.
